A little about me

Hello and welcome to my website! I am Sissy and I have been crocheting since I was a pre-teen, yes…taught by my grandmother as is the story for many. It has been exciting to see younger generations around the world embrace the handmade trade and for legacies to be passed on. As I grew into adulthood, I crocheted mostly gifts as marriage, children, work and life allowed little time for my love of hooks. Recently my husband and I decided to simplify our lives and move close to family. This has allowed me to pursue my passion and try to put the many ideas in my head to paper and yarn, creating patterns of the many things that I just spontaneously crocheted. In 2023, I launched an Etsy shop and started to grow an Instagram account. Ravelry and Pinterest came shortly after.

I was certified as an instructor by the Craft Yarn Council in 2024. That does not mean I am an expert in crochet by any means. It just means that I went through a course to improve my skills and help me instruct others. I consider myself a perpetual student that loves to continually try new methods and projects. The patterns I write and sell use standards established by the CYC in crochet language, abbreviations, terms, hook sizes and methods of crocheting

It may seem odd that I don’t have a crochet niche. I have scratched my head over this too. Could it be however that I just love any kind and size of crochet from small stainless hooks and crochet thread to large hooks with fluffy, soft plushies and everything in between? Granny squares, filet crochet, Amigurumi, Mosaic and Tunisian crochet…I just cannot name them all for lack of space. Blankets, wearables, jewelry, household goods and plushie toys are just a few of my favorites to experiment with.

Visit me often as this website and the patterns here will be continually updated. Thank you for supporting me in this endeavor and for loving the crochet world with me.
